Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Chairperson of the South Sumatra Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), Dr. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati SH MH Together with Acting Governor of South Sumatra Agus Fatoni directly inspected the location of the fire in the 27 Ilir area, precisely located on Jalan Temon, Mango Hall, 27th subdistrict, Ilir Barat 2 sub-district, Palembang, Tuesday (13/02/2024).
Even though it was raining, his intention was to visit the location of the unstoppable fire. The Acting Governor of South Sumatra also deliberately came to see up close the condition of the densely populated residential area.
Through this opportunity, Agus Fatoni also expressed deep empathy and condolences to the victims. He also handed over logistical assistance in the form of blankets, basic necessities, medicines and also assigned health workers or health workers to be on standby at the location.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the South Sumatra Province DPRD said that I, as chairman of the DPRD, was also concerned about the disaster experienced by the residents.
“It is true that the condition of the road for immediate handling is indeed a bit hampered, but please believe me ladies and gentlemen that the Government of both the Province and the city of Palembang will take part in responsibility for how the water hydram system can reach the residents.
“I told the Acting Governor that to deal with fires in the hallways, we must have what are called water hydrants that come straight away without having to wait for the fire brigade,” said Dr. Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati. (ojn/ril)
