Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) is an important component in the addition of Regional Original Income (PAD). For this reason, the Chairperson of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH., MH attempted to monitor during her working visit to the UPTB Samsat Office of the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) for the Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) I Region in Kayu Agung, Friday (23/6/2023).
During his visit, the Chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD, Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, was welcomed by the Head of UPTB OKI I Region, Mr. Ferry Hereo Jahtrawan, SH., who was accompanied by Head of Collection Section, Mr. Ahmad Sazili, in the Room of the Head of UPTB OKI I Region.
Anita explained the importance of monitoring motor vehicle tax revenue. “Revenue from the PKB sector is one of the main sources of regional income. Therefore, we need to ensure that the management of motor vehicle taxes runs effectively and efficiently,” he said.
The chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD appreciated the performance of the OKI I Regional Samsat UPTB Office in managing regional revenues. “I would like to thank Mr. Ferry Hereo Jahtrawan and all the ranks of the UPTB OKI I Samsat Office for their dedication and hard work in increasing regional revenues through the PKB sector,” he added.
In order to increase local revenue, the Chairperson of the DPRD of South Sumatra also invites the whole community to obey paying motorized vehicle taxes. “Motor vehicle tax is the obligation of every vehicle owner. By paying taxes on time, we all play a role in developing our region,” he added, ending the working visit. (ojn/ril)
