Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province held a Special Plenary Meeting in commemoration of the 77th anniversary of South Sumatra Province Monday (15/05/2023), The Special Plenary Meeting was chaired by the Chairperson of the DPRD Prov. South Sumatra; Hj. R.A. Anita Noeringhati, SH, MH, accompanied by Deputy Chairmen of the Provincial DPRD. South Sumatra; H.M. Giri Ramanda N Kiemas, SE, MM, Hj. Kartika Sandra Desi, SH, MM, and H. Muchendi Mahzareki, SE. attended by the Governor of South Sumatra; H. Herman Deru, SH, MM and Deputy Governor of South Sumatra; Ir. H. Mawardi Yahya, OPD staff and invited guests from cities/regencies in South Sumatra Province, the Governor of the South Sumatra Region and other invited guests.
On the Anniversary of Prov. Sumsel with the theme “Synergizing to Realize Advanced South Sumatra for All” chairman of the DPRD Prov. Sumsel said that the Commemoration was a form of gratitude and a reflection of development performance ”
“Today’s Special Plenary Meeting of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD is an expression of our gratitude to Allah SWT, which is a vehicle for reflecting on development and government performance,” explained the Chairperson of the DPRD.
Furthermore, the chairman of the DPRD Prov. Sumsel also invites all parties to work together in development:
“We all have to work together under the same vision to make South Sumatra more advanced in accordance with the theme of the 2023 anniversary, namely: in the spirit of the 77th anniversary of South Sumatra Province, work together to make South Sumatra progress for all,” said the chairman of the DPRD.
On that occasion also the Chairman of the DPRD Prov. South Sumatra expressed its appreciation to the Governor and Deputy Governor who received awards including: Trophies and certificates for the 2022 Innovative Government Award (IGA) to Prov. South Sumatra as the most innovative province in Indonesia, a certificate of appreciation to the Governor for the highest achievement in accelerating the reduction of stunting at the national level in 2022, and the Bhumandala Rajata award with the best network node for the Provincial government category in 2022, namely performance assessment of 5 elements of geospatial information infrastructure (policies, institutions, technology , standards and human resources).
Then it was followed by remarks from the Governor of South Sumatra who conveyed the achievements and achievements of the Prov. Sumsel from various fields and also explained the South Sumatra Independent Food Movement in an effort to realize people’s welfare, so that the special Plenary Meeting was ended with a joint prayer.

South Sumatra is holding an UMKM Bazaar from 13 to 15 May 2023 which is intended for all invited guests and the general public featuring various kinds of fashion, culinary and other MSME products in the courtyard of the DPRD Prov.
