Jayapura, The Indonesia Post – Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini is seeking to acquire land for healthy houses for 76 families (KK) victims of the flash floods in Sentani District in 2019.
Risma when met at the construction site for the Doyo Baru healthy house, Waibu District, Jayapura Regency, Wednesday, said the land for the settlements must be acquired, then divided for each family.
“I have asked for help for the liberation until later what is the solution, I have communicated with the minister of ATR/BPN (Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency), he is ready to help, therefore we will prepare it,” she said.
The Minister of Social Affairs hopes that on the commemoration of Indonesian Independence Day on August 17, 2022, each family will receive a certificate and house key. So that currently, efforts are needed to accelerate the division of land, in order to issue certificates.
Of the 76 houses planned to be built, 21 units have been realized. Meanwhile, the victims of the Sentani flash flood are still living in refugee camps.
Risma added that in the first development phase it was built for residential residents. Furthermore, land will be prepared for trade, as well as agricultural and livestock businesses.
She said the treatment for social and economic empowerment in the neighborhood would adjust to the conditions of the local residents.
On the same occasion, Social Minister Risma invited mothers to learn sewing, and provided nutritional assistance for children in refugee camps. (mhn/bbs)
