Welcoming Family Welfare Movement Day, Feby-Fauziah Conducts Social Service and Covid-19 Pandemic Education for the Elderly

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – In the framework of the Family Welfare (TP PKK) Movement day, the head of the South Sumatra TP PKK, Hj Febrita Lustia Herman Deru, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman of the South Sumatra TP PKK, Hj Fauziah Mawardi Yahya, provided basic necessities and masks to the elderly on Jalan Tegal Binangun Lr. Binagun Putra, Tuesday (16/3/2021).

“In the framework of the PKK movement day, we held social services (baksos) by visiting the elderly around South Sumatra, especially in the city of Palembang, as well as socializing the covid-19 health protocol and socializing the covid-19 vaccination,” Feby HD said.

Feby said that even though the amount of assistance was not insignificant, this was done as a form of PKK affection for all the elderly as well as to remind themselves that all of them will also enter old age in their future.

“Initially, we wanted to provide basic necessities, but in order to be right on target for the elderly and can be enjoyed directly, we took the initiative to provide bread, milk, masks, cloth, and there is also the News,” she explained.

Prior to that, Feby and Fazuziah Mawardi also reviewed the active MSMEs of local residents who were also followed by the elderly, namely managing used waste to be used as work for use such as bags, tablecloths, carpets. Everything is managed from used materials, including straws, noodle wrappers, and soap wrappers.

In addition, Feby together with the South Sumatra PKK also conducted education about the Covid-19 pandemic, socialized about covid-19 vaccination, health protocols, and health education. (mhn/ril)
