Palembang, The Indonesia Post – President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated H. Herman Deru as Governor of South Sumatra and H. Cik Ujang as Deputy Governor of South Sumatra at the State Palace, Wednesday, (20/2/2025).
On that occasion, President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto congratulated the election of regional heads in their respective regions. He said that this was a historic moment, the first time in Indonesia that 33 governors, 33 deputy governors, 363 regents, 362 deputy regents, 85 mayors and 85 deputy mayors were inaugurated. With a total of 961 regional heads from 481 regions.
“This shows us how great our nation is. That our nation is so big and the largest in terms of population in the world. You all come from different parties, you go down to the people, Alhamdulillah you have gained the people’s trust,” he said.
President Prabowo Subianto invited all regional heads to defend the interests of the people, protect the interests of the people, and must fight for the improvement of the people’s lives.
“That is your duty. Although we come from different parties and different tribes, we are a big family of the archipelago. Let us serve our people, do our best for our people,” he concluded.
The inauguration took place solemnly, starting with singing the song Indonesia Raya. The inauguration was attended by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Gibran Rakabuming, and the ministers of the Red and White cabinet. (ojn/ril)
