Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru received a visit from the Senior Vice President of PT Medco at Griya Agung Palembang on Monday, August 25, 2025. This warm meeting provided a platform for fostering camaraderie and strengthening synergy between the regional government and the private sector in supporting development in Bumi Sriwijaya.
On that occasion, Herman Deru conveyed that the presence of business actors such as PT Medco plays a vital role in driving the regional economy. However, he also emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between economic interests and environmental sustainability.
“We are very open to investments that benefit the wider community. The most important thing is that everything must be balanced—economic growth, community prosperity, and environmental protection,” said Herman Deru.
Meanwhile, representatives of PT Medco expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome from the Governor of South Sumatra. They reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting development programs that align with community needs and the regional government’s vision.
