Governor Herman Deru Accepts Recommendations from the 2025 LKPJ, Emphasizes Synergy for South Sumatra’s Progress

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru accompanied by Deputy Governor of South Sumatra H. Cik Ujang attended the XXXIII Plenary Meeting of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD with the agenda of Submitting DPRD Recommendations on the Governor’s LKPJ for the 2025 Fiscal Year in the Plenary Meeting Room, Monday (27/4/2026).

In his remarks, Herman Deru commended the leadership and members of the council for their support of regional development. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a check-and-balance mechanism between the executive and legislative branches.

“This synergy is key to ensuring that policies provide optimal benefits to the community,” he said.

The recommendations, compiled based on Government Regulation 13/2019 and Home Affairs Ministerial Regulation 18/2020, cover governance, economics, and public welfare. The Governor is committed to integrating these inputs into concrete budget planning and strategic policies.

Facing complex global challenges, Herman Deru instructed all heads of regional government agencies (OPD) to work smart and quickly. He emphasized that every program must have a real impact to realize the vision of “South Sumatra Advancing for All.”

Also in attendance were heads of regional government agencies within the South Sumatra Provincial Government. (mhn/ril)
