Jakarta, TheIndonesiaPost – DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan again asked the citizens of Jakarta not to do local homecoming to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“Do not have a local homecoming, only Virtual ‘Homecoming’ is allowed,” Anies said in a press statement quoted from Cable News Network Indonesia, Saturday (5/16).
He stressed that those who could travel were people who, because of their duties or work, were included in 11 fundamental sectors that were allowed to carry out activities during the large scale social restrictions PSBB.
The eleven sectors include; health, food / food / beverage, energy, communication and information technology, logistics, construction, hospitality, and finance.
Then there are the strategic industries, basic services, and daily necessities sector. In addition to workers from these sectors, Anies wants people to remain at home.
“Eid or not, the same. The virus does not know the name of the day. There are no holidays or ordinary days. Do not know Eid or not,” explained Anies.
“Don’t make Jabodetabek go back to March and make this business which has been running for more than two months be in vain,” he continued.
Previously, Anies issued Governor Regulation Number 47 the Year 2020 concerning Restrictions on Activities Going Out and/or Entering DKI Jakarta Province in the Prevention of Covid-19 Distribution.
The regulation states that Jabodetabek residents cannot travel. Residents who can travel are parties who are excluded from the CBDR. (ray/bbs)
