Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the Jakarta-Bandung fast train was able to revive business opportunities.
“This is certainly a game changer, we see the tourism and mobility opportunities that we get, the data shows that many Jakarta residents, especially South Jakarta, really like to travel to Lembang, Bandung,” said Sandiaga when met in Jakarta, Wednesday.
He also said that the operation of the first high-speed train in Southeast Asia would open up many business opportunities, including transportation businesses.
The reason is that at Bandung Padalarang Station, passengers will use other transportation to their next destination.
Apart from that, he said again, culinary tourism is also one of the creative and creative sub-sectors that is of interest to tourists. So business opportunities are still very open.
As previously reported, President Joko Widodo today tried out the Jakarta-Bandung fast train.
The President admitted that he had visited the high-speed train project four times, but this was the first time he had tried mass transportation from Halim Station to Padalarang Station, followed by Bandung Station.
“It’s comfortable, and at the speed of 350 I didn’t feel it at all, both when sitting and when I walked, so yes, this is civilization,” said President Jokowi at Padalarang Station, Bandung, West Java.
During the trial, President Jokowi calculated an increase in train speed from 320 km/hour to the maximum operational speed, namely 350 km/hour.
At that speed, the President said that traveling on the train was very comfortable.
