// Encourage OJK to Develop Economic Actors in the Middle of the Pandemic

PALEMBANG, TheIndonesiaPost – Tolerance towards the community in the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic continues to be demonstrated by various parties. The latest is that the South Sumatra Covid-19 acceleration task force has again received a number of assistance.

Where, the assistance received directly by the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru came from the Regional Financial Services Authority (OJK) 7 South Sumatra region (Sumbagsel) and the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia.

“This assistance is a pride for us. This means that all parties care about the community. This form of tolerance must continue to be established without seeing the value of the aid, “said HD, interrupted by the handover of aid held at the Regional Secretariat of South Sumatra Provincial Government of South Sumatra on Monday (8/6).

It is known that aid came from Sumbagsel Regional OJK 7 in the form of 1542 food items consisting of rice, vegetable oil, flour, and granulated sugar handed over by Sumbagsel Regional 7 Regional OJK Head Untung Nugroho. While from the Ministry of Industry in the form of 15,000 pc of cloth masks, 500 pc of hazmat sponsored, 100 pc of PPC hazmat, and 100 pc of face shield submitted by the Head of South Sumatra Provincial Industry Office Ernila Lizar.

On the other hand, HD also asked OJK Regional 7 Sumbagsel to continue to improve its performance as a regulator of financial institutions so that the community’s economy continues to run well in the midst of this Covid-19 pandemic.

“Economics is an aspect that also influences the impact of Covid-19 aside from health and social aspects. Therefore, we must conduct comprehensive handling. Not only dealing with viruses that attack the body, but also handling the issues that can make people’s productivity decline, “he explained.

Including also incessantly making innovations to boost the community’s economy such as petrifying capital, skills, and marketing.

“Economic actors such as MSMEs are an economic buffer. Moreover, in a situation like this, of course, it must continue to be jacked up so that the community’s economy does not go down. I ask that this is maintained, “he explained.

Not only that, he also hopes that the Rural Credit Bank (BPR) as a BUMD creates a built business group as a forum for community businesses or Regional People’s Business Credit (Kurda).

“I want a program like that. Later the KUR can be subsidized by the government. The mechanism is that the OJK understands, the class must be in accordance with banking regulations, “he said.

In the meantime, Head of Regional OJK 7 Sumbagsel Untung Nugroho said, if his party currently had arranged for financial institutions to provide relief for customers affected by Covid-19 both addressed to commercial and leasing bank customers by looking at various categories.

“Most people who use credit cannot fulfill their obligations. Even though it is a burden on financial institutions, it can still be carried out. Because this is supported by the people of South Sumatra not withdrawing large amounts of deposits so the economy is still quite stable, “he concluded. (ojan / hms)
