PALEMBANG, The Indonesia Post – The existence of ustadz and ustadzah who are members of the South Sumatra Ustadz and Ustadzah Communication Forum (FOKKUS) is expected to expand the syiar and da’wah of Islam in the community, given their very multifunctional duties.
“I congratulate the formation of the South Sumatra FOKKUS. I am interested in this forum because its function is very noble. Ustdz and ustadzah are interpreted as multifunctional, sometimes they are teachers, speakers, priests, or as organizing bodies, prayer readers, tahil or dhikr,” said Herman Deru. when receiving the management of FOKKUS South Sumatra for the 2019-2023 period at the governor’s audition room, Wednesday (23/9).
On that occasion, HD hopes that the South Sumatra FOKKUS can make clear organizational regulations on the criteria for a cleric or ustazah. In addition, Herman Deru also gave input so that FOKKUS members should apply in general not only to certain sects. Given that FOKKUS was formed, none other than the purpose of spreading and preaching Islam.
“Because the purpose of this forum is to spread for the benefit of the people. It is clear what you want to get is not a profit,” he hoped while mentioning that he would try to attend the inauguration of FOKKUS management in the near future.
Meanwhile, previously the head of FOKKUS Sumsel, M. Solihin, expressed his gratitude for the governor’s willingness to take his time to receive auditions of the South Sumatra FOKKUS management.
“Thank you, the governor for accepting our audition. At the same time we report that this forum has legality and is ready to help the success of the South Sumatra Provincial Government program,” he explained.
Solihin said, South Sumatra FOKKUS has officially become an organization that in the near future will hold khotib and bilal training throughout South Sumatra.
