Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said the problems or challenges in the digital space are now getting bigger, and all parties are obliged to continue flooding the cybersphere with positive content.
“The challenges in the digital space are getting bigger, bigger. Negative content continues to emerge. Crime in the digital space continues to increase, ”said the President in his virtual remarks when launching the National Digital Literacy Program, Jakarta, Thursday.
According to the President, a lot of negative content has emerged in the digital realm, such as hoaxes, online fraud, gambling, sexual exploitation of children, cyberbullying, hate speech, and radicalism. All that needs to be watched out for because it can threaten unity and integrity.
“It is our mutual obligation to continue to minimize negative content, flood the digital space with positive content, continue to flood, continue to fill with positive content,” he said.
Therefore, all parties, said the President, must improve the digital skills of the community so that they are able to create more creative, educational content that is soothing and spreads peace.
The digital realm must also be used to improve the economy. The President invited all people to optimize the internet to make themselves more productive. For example, MSME players can increase their capacity by utilizing marketing through the digital realm.
“To make MSMEs go up in class, increase the number of MSMEs onboarding to the e-commerce platform so that the internet can provide added economic value to all levels of society,” said President Jokowi. (rma/bbs)
