Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said his party together with Wonderful Indonesia collaborated with the racing team that will appear at the MotoGP 2022 Gresini Racing (motorcycle racing team).
The collaboration is expected to be an event to promote Indonesian tourism so that it can bounce back in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This collaboration is expected to promote Indonesian tourism so that it can improve the performance of tourism and the creative economy so as to support economic revival in Indonesia,” said Sandiaga in his statement, Jakarta, Monday.
With this collaboration, he continued, he believes that some of Indonesia’s top brands will be exposed at the global level and expand the market reach of these brands from national to international scale, as well as give pride to Indonesia.
Later, the Wonderful Indonesia logo will be displayed on the Desmosedici GP racing motorbike belonging to Gresini Racing in this season’s competition. The logo will be seen on the front wing of Enea Bastianini and Fabio Di Giannantonio’s motorbikes.
“The “Wonderful Indonesia” logo will be attached to the winglet/aero fairing of the Ducati Gresini Racing motorcycle,” said Sandiaga.
This partnership marks the return of MotoGP to Indonesia since the last time in 1997.
As is known, Indonesia will host the second MotoGP series which is planned to be held in mid-March 2022 at the Mandalika Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.
“Therefore, with this collaboration, the branding image of tourism and national industry players can be widely known globally,” said the Menparekraf. (mhn/bbs)
