HD: Managing Foundation Assets with the Syar’i Method

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru (HD) attended the sorry-forgive (Halal Bihalal) event for the Sukawinatan Residents of Palembang, this activity also provided guidance on the management of assets belonging to the Husnul Khotimah foundation.

In his direction, HD said that the management and development of assets belonging to the foundation must be syar’i in accordance with the teachings of the Islamic religion, and HD hoped that all foundation administrators could maintain the dignity of religion in collecting development funds.

“For the second time I have come to this area, to come to the management of this mosque and mosque. In the past I came to help build the minaret of the mosque which is now finished,” said HD.

“I hope this mosque has a dignified management. Why did I forbid the construction of a mosque asking for donations on the road, besides being dangerous for the safety of drivers and people asking for donations. I also do this in order to maintain the dignity of the Islamic religion,” added HD.

Regarding the land in front of the mosque, HD said that he and the related staff would help the foundation management so that the land could become the foundation’s assets.

“I thank you for taking the initiative to hold a halal bihalal event especially for myself. Regarding the land to be acquired, here I invite banking leaders to discuss the right sharia method so that these assets can later become assets belonging to this foundation,” said HD.

On the same occasion, the General Chairperson of the Husnul Khotimah Mosque Foundation, Ahmad Juarsyah explained that the vacant land in front of the mosque, if later it had become an asset of the foundation, the Tahfidz House educational institution would be built to support the South Sumatra Governor’s program One Village One House Tahfidz.
