Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The COVID-19 Task Force noted that the number of residents who had received a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination on Friday increased by 133,038 to a total of 45,034,435 people.
Residents who had received the first and second doses of vaccination or the complete dose on Friday reached 167,198,137 people, an increase of 41,281 people from the previous day.
Meanwhile, the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination has been recorded in 200,112,862 people. The number of residents who had received the first dose of vaccination on Friday increased by 28,782 from the previous day.
The coverage of the first dose, second dose, and booster dose respectively reached 96.08 percent; 80.28 percent; and 21.62 percent of the total 208,265,720 Indonesian population who were targeted for COVID-19 vaccination.
The government is still trying to complete the implementation of COVID-19 vaccination in all targets to reduce the risk of disease transmission caused by infection with the SARS-CoV-2 type of corona virus.
On Friday, the cumulative number of residents who tested positive for COVID-19 in Indonesia increased by 224 to a total of 6,053,894, patients who had recovered from the corona virus infection increased by 277 to 5,894,380, and the number of COVID-19 sufferers who died increased by nine to 156,565. person.
