“The challenges are related to digital transformation, a green economy that requires energy and adult life long learning. Of almost all countries that describe the most ready and operational, God willing, it will be from Indonesia through the Pre-Employment Card,” he said.
In addition, at a meeting in Davos, Switzerland at the end of last May, he continued, the Prime Minister from the Netherlands expressed his interest in the Pre-Employment Card and thought that a similar program was suitable to be replicated in developing countries.
To date, there have been as many as 12.8 million people who have participated in the Pre-Employment Card program and 95 percent of them have received incentives.
“This is also part of the SDGs because this program is enjoyed in 514 regencies and cities throughout Indonesia,” he said
56 percent of Pre-Employment Card participants live in villages, then 49 percent are women and about 3 percent are people with disabilities. As many as 30 percent of participants who were previously unemployed are now working or entrepreneurship, while 90 percent admitted that the Pre-Employment Card helps increase competence, productivity and increase competitiveness.
Then as many as 66 percent use pre-employment certification to get a job. Then, 92 percent used aid funds of IDR 600 thousand for 4 months to buy food and 70 percent for business capital.
“27 percent of the recipients have never had an account, but 27 percent chose to use an e-wallet so that this is a financial inclusion program,” he said.
The Pre-Employment Card is also supported by 171 training institutions, 6 digital platforms, 6 payment partners, 3 job portals and 8 universities as assessors and monitors.
“This success is combining supply and demand and all of them are formed in an ecosystem that continues to move dynamically using databases and AI, and also thanks Partners from BNI 46,” said Airlangga.
The Pre-Employment Card program has also been assessed by external institutions such as the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the multinational market research and consulting firm Ipsos, BPS, then the United Nations Development Program to the World Bank with TNP2K.
