Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Responding to community complaints via social media regarding the lack of access to roads and electricity in the Saluran Village (Dusun Saluran), Kenten Laut Village, Banyuasin Regency.
The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru (HD) rode his trail motorbike to the hamlet location to ascertain the conditions and circumstances reported by the Instagram account @desa_saluran.
On the way to the location, HD also felt the weight of the terrain that the community traversed every day, he even fell because of the muddy road.
Upon arrival at the hamlet location, HD said that so far it was not that the government had not been present in meeting the infrastructure needs for the road to the hamlet location, but that the information conveyed by the community had only recently been received by him.
“The situation described by the social media account is even worse than the image that was sent when I was here,” said HD.
For road infrastructure, HD has ensured that the work will be carried out as soon as possible. The electricity supply has also been directly confirmed by the General Manager of the S2JB Main Distribution Unit, Amris Adnan. Through his remarks, he said that the construction would be carried out in the first half of this year.
“Even though my physical condition is not fit, I have to fulfill my promise to come here today. I hope that the installation of the TM and TR poles by PLN must be without obstacles. Regarding roads, because of the many bridges, maybe we can build them for two-wheeled vehicles. first,” said HD.
HD also provided house renovation assistance to five houses that were no longer livable in the hamlet.
Dusun Saluran Kenten Laut Village, Kab. Banyuasin consists of 3 Rukun Tangga (RT) with a total number of houses that have not had electricity of ± 120 houses since 1986 (37 years ago). And in 2023. under the leadership of the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, residents are waiting for the electricity and road needs to be realized. (mhn/ril)
