Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Deputy Minister of SOEs (BUMN) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said the government routinely evaluates the performance of the Jakarta Bogor Depok Bekasi (Jabodebek) LRT transportation mode every day to prevent repeat disruptions.
According to him, in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday, the disturbance that occurred the day after it officially started operating was used as evaluation material to improve and perfect the performance of the Jabodebek LRT.
“We continue to carry out evaluations for improvements. Evaluations are carried out every day. The comfort and safety of LRT passengers is prioritized. Moreover, this is the first time for Indonesia to have an LRT mode,” said Rosan at the State Palace, Jakarta, Friday (1/9/2023).
According to Rosan, the Ministry of BUMN is also intensively communicating with the leadership of PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero) or Inka, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI, and other related parties to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers of this mass transportation mode.
He said the Jabodebek LRT plays an important role in overcoming traffic jams that often occur in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok and Bekasi metropolitan areas.
“That is our main task. Evaluation of the LRT is carried out continuously,” said Rosan.
The operation of the Jabodebek LRT was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at Cawang Station, East Jakarta, on August 28 2023. This new mode of mass transportation has attracted public interest in using it. It was noted, since it was officially operated on August 28 2023, the Jabodebek LRT had carried 96,426 passengers as of Thursday (31/8).
On Monday (28/8) when it officially started operating, the Jabodebek LRT carried 6,475 passengers, on Tuesday (29/8) it rose to 28,381 passengers, on Wednesday (30/8) there were 30,519 passengers, and further increased on Thursday (31/8) to 31,051 passengers.
The Jabodebek LRT serves the community at 18 stations, namely Dukuh Atas, Setiabudi, Rasuna Said, Kuningan, Pancoran, Cikoko, Ciliwung, Cawang, TMII, Kampung Rambutan, Ciracas, Harjamukti, Halim, Jatibening Baru, Cikunir I, Cikunir II, West Bekasi, and Jatimulya.
There are 2 travel lines, namely Cibubur which passes Dukuh Atas-Cawang Station – Harjamukti Station and Bekasi with Dukuh Atas Station – Cawang – Halim – Jatimulya Station. (mhn/bbs)
