Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Muslim scholar Azyumardi Azra was elected as Chairman of the Press Council for the 2022-2025 period which was just appointed on Wednesday.
“Professor Azyumardi Azra has been elected as Chair of the 2022-2025 Press Council,” said Arif Zulkifli, a member of the Press Council in charge of the Law and Legislation Commission, via electronic message in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The composition of the board of directors for the period 2022-2025 is the chairman of the press council, Azyumardi Azra, and vice chairman, M Agung Dharmajaya.
The Commission for Complaints and Enforcement of Press Ethics is led by Yadi Hendriana with the representative of Paulus Tri Agung. The Law and Legislation Commission is held by Arif Zulkifli with Ninik Rahayu as the representative.
Then, the Commission on Education and Professional Development of the Press Council was held by Paulus Tri Agung with Yadi Hendriana as the representative. The Research, Data Collection and Ratification Commission is led by Ninik Rahayu with Asmono Wikan as the representative.
Next, Totok Suryanto led the Commission on Inter-Agency Relations and Foreign Affairs and his deputy Arif Zulkifli. The Commission for Empowerment and Organization is held by Asmono Wikan with Sapto Anggoro as the representative.
Finally, the Commission on Funding and Organizational Facilities is led by Sapto Anggoro with a representative Totok Suryanto.
Members of the Press Council of the Commission for Complaints and Enforcement of Press Ethics, Yadi Hendriana, via electronic message, said that currently the elected management was handing over positions with the previous management.
