Checking the road conditions at Musi Rawas, Herman Deru drives a motorbike tens of kilometers

Musi Rawas, The Indonesia Post – Even though it is a holiday, the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, is still working to create equitable development to remote villages in accordance with the vision and mission of South Sumatra for All (Sumsel  Maju Untuk Semua).

Even though he was in the hot sun and covered with dusty roads, he was still enthusiastic about riding a motorcycle tens of kilometers away. The aim is none other than to check the road development starting from Sp. Semabang then Sp. 9 Bangun Jaya – The intersection of Jane Station until the border of PALI Regency.

“Sundays are used by people for holidays or non-work activities but we are still taking care of the work,” said HD during the Inauguration of the CSR Road and Groundbreaking of the Construction of the CSR Monument of Sp.9 Bangun Jaya Village – Jane Station Junction, BTS Ulu Cecar District, Musi Regency. Rawas, Sunday (30/8).

“I traveled on a motorbike with the Regent and his entourage for tens of kilometers. This was not for fun but we will see first hand what is happening, be it social, economic and infrastructure conditions,” HD said.

Even though during the Covid-19 Pandemic, he did not stop reminding the public not to stop being productive.

“Do not excuse all corona being stopped, that we have to organize our lives. Later after this Covid we must continue to advance our region, it is not impossible for us to contribute to the progress of the country we love,” he said.

Talking about development, HD continued, that hundreds of kilometers were cut to provide access to the community, both economic and official activities. However, there are still obstacles that occur, namely the problem of borrowing and using forest areas.

“Earlier I summoned the Head of the Forestry Service. I asked him to immediately work together on the connection between the starfruit intersection – the pavilion and the Pendopo – Musi Rawas. Hopefully this can be carried out. In 2021 the community can feel it,” he said.

He mentioned that the construction of the Sp.9 Bangun Jaya-Jane Station intersection is not only the APBN and APBD. However, with its awareness, SKK Migas and other partners are certainly obliged to contribute not only to CSR, but also social and environmental responsibilities.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Musi Rawas Regency, Hendra Gunawan said that the Governor of South Sumatra came all the way and even drove a motorbike to see the road to be built directly.

“God willing, in 2021 the road will be smooth in 2021. Thanks to the governor, this is the new leadership who sweats for the community not only at the table. On behalf of the people of Musi Rawas, we thank you,” he concluded.

The Head of the Representative Office for SKK Migas for South Sumatra, Adianto Agus Handoyo, admitted that he was very grateful for the commitment that SKK Migas had contributed to road construction and was inaugurated by the Governor of South Sumatra. This also proves to be a form of role and cooperation with the Musi Rawas Regency government.

“We hope that with the inauguration of this road, we hope that it can become a facility that facilitates access to community mobility,” he said. (ray/rel)
