Complete vaccine recipients reach 154.26 million people in Indonesia

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – The COVID-19 Task Force (Satgas) reported that the number of Indonesian citizens who had received a complete dose of the vaccine reached 154.26 million as of Sunday, 12.00 WIB.

Data from the COVID-19 Task Force received in Jakarta shows that the number of people who have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine per day has increased by 617,951 to 154,267,349 people.

Meanwhile, on this day no one has been injected with the first dose of vaccine or nothing. Thus, the number of recipients of the first dose of vaccination is now 194,559,612.

The total vaccination for the third dose today increased by 182,186 people to 16,278,678 people.

The government plans to vaccinate as many as 208,265,720 million people.

Thus, it is recorded that the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was given to 93.41 percent of the total 208,265,720 residents who were targeted for the COVID-19 vaccination.

Meanwhile, residents who have finished undergoing vaccination cover 74.07 percent of the total target.

Previously, the Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Health Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha asked for the role of nurses throughout Indonesia to help the government comb through the remaining COVID-19 vaccination participants from vulnerable communities in remote areas.

“Our focus is the elderly, people with comorbidities and those who have not been vaccinated. Vaccination of the elderly needs to work with nurses, especially remote areas through the support of the TNI-Polri to reach out,” he said.

Kunta said that vaccination achievement in Indonesia ranks fourth highest among countries in the world. Bali is the province in Indonesia with the best vaccination achievement.

“Indonesia’s vaccination achievement in the beginning used to be 100 thousand injections per day, now it can reach 1 million to 2.5 million a day. Indonesia is the fourth best in the world,” he said. (mhn/bbs)
