Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru received the Chair of the Election Supervisory (Bawaslu) of South Sumatra Province in the context of Gathering.
HD expressed his gratitude for the arrival of the South Sumatra Bawaslu and his entourage. To maintain the establishment of democracy, the Provincial Government and Regency / City Government want to play a role in the implementation of the electoral and regional election administration sector.
“If we talk about funding, the government in general has allocated it, there are sides that are not covered by central funding so it is feared that the implementation will not be perfect,” said HD.
Herman Deru conveyed that the public should not hesitate because of course there are guidelines that we can follow and non-guidelines that are gray can be discretionary as long as they do not violate and can be accounted for.
“The time schedule is important, don’t be a mistake. I will help with the tools and equipment in implementing democracy, but for the technical aspects please arrange it, don’t let the regional head be blamed for not being petrified,” said HD
The head of the South Sumatra Bawaslu, Iin Irwanto, ST., MM said that the general election will be held on February 14, 2024 and the simultaneous regional election on November 7, 2024. Bawaslu needs coordination, guidance and direction from the regional government. After this moment, his party will continue to coordinate in order to make this event a success. (ojn/ril)
