PALEMBANG, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel), H Herman Deru, gave his appreciation for the rapid development carried out by the Muara Enim Regency Government. Even at the age of 74, Muara Enim has made many achievements at both the provincial and national levels.
“Muara Enim is one of the old districts in South Sumatra Province. This area has had a lot of development whose impact has been felt by the community. This is none other than because the leader has an innovative spirit, “he said.
It is said, as a regional head, it is fitting that the Regent / Mayor in South Sumatra have an innovative spirit in running the wheels of government which leads to the welfare of the people. For that he expressed his appreciation for regional heads who have made breakthroughs in providing services to the community.
“The regional head must work oriented towards regional progress by making various innovations so that what is programmed produces maximum results. As for the awards received, they are part of the bonus and should not be the main objective. I will give rewards to innovative regional heads, “he said.
HD assesses that Muara Enim Regency, which is traversed by state roads, has made this area a buffer for the 10 surrounding districts / cities. For that he advised that the development carried out must provide benefits to the surrounding community, including neighboring areas.
“At the age of 74 years, Muara Enim Regency, we make it a place for self-reflection. What will be done, is and will be done must be measured by keeping up with the times in the midst of the current sophistication of globalization,” said Deru.
He expressed his appreciation for Muara Enim for being consistent in reducing the poverty rate by running a number of outstanding programs.
“The district head’s program in the village is very good, this is the local government’s effort to explore the people’s aspirations directly. We are proud, and certainly more proud of the people of Muara Enim,” he said.
He also reminded regency / city governments in South Sumatra not to hesitate to publish, provide correct information to the public regarding work programs carried out either through printed, electronic or online media. The aim is not to be praised but to inform the public regarding the progress of local government work programs.
“Don’t be stingy with information, what you do, what you get. Tell the public by using existing media. So that people know. We are not arrogant but this is a form of socialization to the community, “he hoped.
Meanwhile, Acting Regent of Muara Enim, H. Juarsah, S.H hopes that the anniversary of Muara Enim Regency can be interpreted as an increase in work performance, not just a celebration.
“The anniversary of Muara Enim Regency this time is indeed celebrated in a simple way, far from being uproar, filled with activities that are more useful considering that the Covid-19 pandemic has not ended. Even though it is simple, it does not reduce the meaning and gratitude of the people of Muara Enim Regency for the 74th anniversary of Muara Enim Regency, “he said.
Even though it was held in vitual, the plenary session of the 74th Anniversary of Mura Enim Regency 2020 was still running solemnly. Attended by a number of religious figures, community leaders, Forkompimda elements and other important invitees. (mhn/ril)
