Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel), H. Herman Deru, accompanied by Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, Cik Ujang, received a visit from the Regent of Penukal Abab Lematang Ilir (PALI), Asgianto, S.T., in the South Sumatra Governor’s Meeting Room, Monday (3/17/2025).
The meeting discussed the synergy of development programs between the South Sumatra Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the PALI Regency Government (Pemkab).
On that occasion, Governor Herman Deru conveyed his commitment to fully support development in PALI Regency. He emphasized that the South Sumatra Provincial Government will respond quickly to any problems faced by regional heads in regencies/cities in South Sumatra
“PALI is one of the regencies that is of concern to the South Sumatra Provincial Government. Previously, we have provided support in various programs, including sanitation, construction of primary hospitals, highways, and others,” said Herman Deru.
Governor Herman Deru has a vision to make PALI a “golden triangle” connecting Musi Banyuasin (Muba), Lubuklinggau, Musi Rawas, and North Musi Rawas (Muratara). To realize this vision, the South Sumatra Provincial Government has allocated a budget of half a trillion rupiah to open the PALI-Musirawas road. In fact, on March 19, 2025, the connecting bridge will be inaugurated.
“Of course, the PALI Regency Government must be aware of the burden placed on its shoulders as a ‘golden triangle’, PALI specifically wants to be a ‘golden triangle’ for Muba, Linggau, Musi Rawas, and Muratara,” said Herman Deru.
Governor Herman Deru emphasized the importance of integrating development programs between the PALI Regency Government and the South Sumatra Provincial Government. In addition, he also highlighted the importance of improving the quality of Human Resources (HR) and community readiness in facing regional developments.
“Including previously I provided assistance to build a stadium, meaning our task is to continue the previous development with our own vision and mission. To Mr. Asgianto, how can the legacy of the old leader remain useful without being neglected, instead we integrate it with the current leadership,” said Herman Deru.
The South Sumatra Provincial Government divides assistance into three clusters, namely priority (such as offices), super priority (such as stalled programs and short-term promises of regional heads in the form of infrastructure), and regular.
“Basic services must be there, there are stages too, this year we focus on completing what, what is not there must be there. The nature of basic services that stand out where this is the face of the region. The people’s dreams should not be disappointed,” said Herman Deru.
Meanwhile, the Regent of PALI, Asgianto, S.T., explained about the synchronization of the PALI regional development program with the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
