PALEMBANG, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) H. Herman Deru received an audience from the Mayor of Lubuklinggau, H SN Prana Putra Sohe in the living room of the South Sumatra Governor’s Office, Thursday (19/11/20).
On that occasion, Herman Deru welcomed the plan to develop an integrated tourism area in Lubuklinggau.
As a token of appreciation, the Provincial Government will assist the Lubuklinggau Regional Government in the process of making a lake that will function as a water absorption location and tourist destination for the local community.
“We support this effort. Because it can provide multi-effects, apart from being a tourist location and water absorption but also spurring the arrival of tourists to Lubuklinggau. This will lead to the welfare of the surrounding community,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Lubuklinggau, H SN Prana Putra Sohe on the occasion conveyed his program for the creation of an Integrated Tourism area located in Petanang, Lubuklinggau.
Prana explained, his party has provided 125 hectares of land, which has been built by the Governor of South Sumatra, H Herman Deru some time ago.
“This will be a new tourism and economic center in Lubuklinggau City. This is an integrated tourism area,” he said after meeting the Governor of South Sumatra, Herman Deru.
He explained that the integrated tourism area will have a number of facilities such as a lake, lodging, golf course and a number of other supporting facilities.
“The first stage has been completed, there is already land, there is an axis road and a reservoir or a water absorption lake. Alhamdulillah, besides making the main road, the Governor will also help excavate this lake,” he said.
He said, the process of building an integrated tourism site would be carried out in stages until it was completed, including by cooperating with a third party.
According to him, the construction of the lake itself will cost quite a lot of money because it has an area of up to 25 hectares. (jekk/ril)
