Meeting Thousands of Students, Herman Deru Immediately Convey Aspirations to the Center

Accompanied by the South Sumatra Regional Secretary H. Nasrun Umar, South Sumatra Police Chief, and South Sumatra Provincial Kadisnaker Khoimudin, after Maghrib Governor Herman Deru went straight to meet the thousands of masses who had been waiting for him since 14.00 noon.

On that occasion HD firmly stated that they have the same spirit as the students.

Herman Deru said that since his visit to Lahat, he had heard of the actions taken by the students, including when the students came to the governor’s office. He also appreciated students who were still patient to meet him.

According to HD, he will never avoid it because he also felt that he had been a student.

Regarding what was asked, HD students admitted that they understood because they had received direct reports from the South Sumatra Regional Secretary and the Kapolda.

“Actually, our feelings are the same. That what we all feel are also felt by all of us. Therefore, I will convey either directly or indirectly the aspirations of these younger siblings to the President and DPR RI,” said HD greeted by thousands of applause from students. the solemn listening.

According to HD, what this student was doing was smart enough because currently there is still a chance to remember PP. So he invited the students to jointly escort PP in order to accommodate the wishes of students and the public at large.

After a few minutes of meeting students, he invited student representatives on behalf of Cipayung Plus and BEM South Sumatra to have a dialogue and witness the signing of the Governor’s recommendation to the center.

The dialogue was held in the meeting room of the Governor of South Sumatra, attended by representatives of student organizations including the General Chairperson of HMI Eko Hendiyono, Chairman of KMHDI I Wayan Sugita, General Chairperson of SEMMI Eko Wahyudi, Chairman of KAMMI, Rizky and Chairman of BEM South Sumatra Muads Amiruddin.

According to him, the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, was able to accept the aspirations that had been conveyed.

“In essence, I accept the aspirations of these younger siblings and are supported to be recommended to the center,” said HD, greeted enthusiastically by the students.

According to HD, he will soon formally convey these aspirations through a letter from the Governor to the center containing an attachment to the student’s demands. He even invited several student representatives to participate in delivering the letter to Jakarta.

In front of the student representatives, he was committed to participate in guarding these aspirations together. The results of the dialogue were then read out again by student representatives in front of thousands of people demanding that the Governor sign the rejection of the Omnibus Law. After being satisfied to hear that their aspirations were accepted by the number one person in South Sumatra, thousands of people who still chose to stay until 19.00 WIB in the courtyard of the Governor’s office gradually disbanded in an orderly manner.

For information, the mass of Cipayung Plus and BEM in South Sumatra, consisting of HMI, PMII, KAMMI, FMI, KMHDI, LMND, and SEMMI, took action to convey their aspirations to the Omnibus Law on Job Creation.

Through their official statement they conveyed that with the enactment of the Erja Omnibus Law Law by the Indonesian Parliament on October 5, in the City of Palembang there had been demonstrations and objections against the Uu by all elements including students, youth, workers and other communities.
