OKU Selatan, The Indonesia Post – The implementation of the Sriwijaya Ranau Gran Fondo (SRGF) 2021 event for the 3rd time which took place in the Lake Ranau Area, South OKU Regency by implementing a program to encourage tourism and economic growth to grow.
The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru released around 2440 participants from 20 provinces in Indonesia and from abroad such as England in the courtyard of Lake Ranau.
“This event is a success for all. Apart from making people healthy, this activity will make South OKU increasingly known as a tourist destination in South Sumatra. Next year SFGF will become an annual tourism agenda,” said HD.
“The economic impact of this activity is very clear. Currently, there are many inns that stand to support tourist destinations here. Not only that, this activity also has an effect on increasing the income of MSMEs, especially in the Lake Ranau area,” he explained.
It is known that the increase in participants in the 2021 SRGF cannot be separated from the impact of good infrastructure. Governor Herman Deru himself continues to be consistent in infrastructure development in South Sumatra.
Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, who delivered a virtual speech, expressed his appreciation for the South Sumatra Provincial Government and South OKU Regency Government for the implementation of the 2021 SRGF in the midst of the government’s efforts to improve the tourism sector in South Sumatra.
Meanwhile, South OKU Regent Popo Ali Martopo said the Governor’s idea had been implemented for three years in a row and this had a good impact on the progress of South OKU. The business world is growing rapidly,” he said.
HD also provided assistance with 2 units of cars, one each for the operations of the South OKU Police and the South OKU Regency Government.
