VP encourages the strengthening of the digital ecosystem for sharia products

Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – Vice President Ma’ruf Amin encourages the strengthening of an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem for sharia economic and financial products/services which so far have provided various direct benefits to the community.

“It is necessary to strengthen the development of a digital ecosystem that is inclusive and sustainable, and is colored by the good values of sharia,” said the Vice President in his online remarks at the Sharia Economic Seminar entitled “Strengthening the Development of the Indonesian Sharia Economy Digital Ecosystem”, in Jakarta, Wednesday.

At the seminar organized by PT Pos Indonesia, the Vice President appreciated the synergistic efforts of various relevant stakeholders in supporting increased Islamic financial inclusion in Indonesia, one of which is through the digital innovation “Pospay Gold” which is a sharia-based digital physical trading application.

“The innovation ‘Pospay Gold’ in the SuperApp application owned by PT Pos has added to the ranks of world-class achievements by the nation’s children, as well as enriched choices for people who prioritize sharia principles in investing,” he said.

The Vice President reminded PT Pos Indonesia together with related ministries/agencies, authorities and stakeholders to ensure security and privacy in the development of technological innovations, so that public trust is maintained.

He also encourages related parties to conduct education and increase digital literacy in society massively, as well as supervise the implementation of regulations/policies accompanied by continuous improvements.

The Vice President also emphasized the importance of collaboration in presenting productive and competitive digital talents to address the gap between the needs of the digital industry and the availability of talents that meet competency criteria.

On that occasion the Vice President officially launched the SuperApp Pospay Gold owned by PT Pos Indonesia. With the presence of this application, it is easier for the public to access physical gold trading digitally.

Meanwhile, Main Director of PT Pos Indonesia Faizal Rochmad Djoemadi revealed that Pos Indonesia could survive for 276 years because it always made changes, one of which was digital transformation, for example in the services available on the Pospay Superapp website and mobile apps.

“Today we are adding a feature to the Superapp, namely Pospay gold which is sharia-based gold trading, because it meets the elements of sharia, not gambling, not usury, a halal commodity, not in a fraudulent way, not lying or deceiving, not with interest but using sharing. fair risk, not using excessive speculation, the physical gold is there and it is audited,” said Faizal.
