Jakarta, The Indonesia Post – West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil stated that the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium was ready to be used as an arena for the U-17 World Cup or FIFA World Cup (FWC U-17).
“The preparations for (Si Jalak Harupat Stadium) have been very good. Yesterday it was visited by FIFA, then also visited by the Minister of PUPR and the Ketum PSSI. God willing, West Java will donate one venue and five small stadiums for training at this time’s U-17 World Cup. ,” Ridwan Kamil said during a visit to the Kemenpora Building, Jakarta, Wednesday.
Ridwan Kamil also said that so far a survey had been carried out regarding a number of arenas in West Java that would be used for the U-17 World Cup and everything was going well.
In the future, Ridwan Kamil will also disseminate information regarding the U-17 World Cup to the audience so that the competition under the auspices of FIFA can run in an orderly manner.
“There is socialization. The hope (the audience) is civilized and of course orderly, don’t embarrass (as the host),” said Ridwan Kamil.
Previously, Bandung Regency was planning to boost the repair of the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium for the U-17 World Cup, following the confirmation that the stadium would become one of the locations for the international-level event in November 2023. (mhn/bbs)
