Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Regional House of Representatives / Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) held the 48th Plenary Meeting with the agenda of Submission of Reports on the Results of Discussion and Research of the Special Committees of the South Sumatra DPRD against the South Sumatra Governor’s LKPJ at the South Sumatra DPRD Building, Monday (25/04).
At this meeting, the five Special Committees that had previously been formed presented several conclusions and recommendations to the South Sumatra Provincial Government.
One of them was conveyed by the Special Committee II for Economic Affairs through its Spokesperson, Yenny Elita.
Representing the Special Committee II, Yenny conveyed several recommendations to the South Sumatra Provincial Government, one of which was addressed to the South Sumatra Provincial Trade Office.
Yenny said that her party recommended that regulations regarding the management of traditional markets in South Sumatra be made immediately.
“This is done to support the development of a quality market and increase PAD,” she said.
In addition, her party also asked the South Sumatra Trade Office to help traditional market traders in the Regency/City to market export quality products.
“Help facilitate traders to market products from Regencies/Cities with export quality,” she said.
Finally, Yenny recommended that the South Sumatra Trade Service find a solution in an effort to prevent price monopolies from being carried out by middlemen.
“We ask the South Sumatra Trade Office to coordinate with relevant agencies in finding solutions to the buying and selling process of agricultural crops so that prices are not monopolized by middlemen,” she concluded. (ojn/ril)
