Attending the 10th Harlah of Ponpes Hidayatullah Mubtadiin, South Sumatra Deputy Governor Cik Ujang Encourages the Community to Maintain Solidarity

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Deputy Governor of South Sumatra, H. Cik Ujang, attended a Grand Recitation in the context of the 10th Anniversary (Harlah) of the Hidayatullah Mubtadiin Sigam Islamic Boarding School as well as the 4th Haul of Ummi Liliyin in Sigam Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency, Sunday (10/5/2026).

In her remarks, Cik Ujang expressed her happiness and appreciation for the enthusiasm of the thousands of congregants who packed the event. She emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony among residents as a key pillar of development in South Sumatra.

“God willing, if we remain united, we will continue to progress for all. I hope the people of South Sumatra will always be harmonious and peaceful, thus creating a strong sense of unity,” said Cik Ujang to the congregation.

Furthermore, the Deputy Governor hopes that the Hidayatullah Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School will consistently serve as an educational institution that cultivates a generation of the nation with noble morals. He believes that Islamic boarding schools play a vital role in strengthening the morals of the younger generation amidst the challenges of the times.

The caretaker of the Hidayatullah Mubtadiin Sigam Islamic Boarding School, KH Dachlan Salim Zarkasyi, expressed his gratitude for the 10-year journey he has led. He recounted how the school grew from scratch to its current rapid growth, with a steadily growing number of male and female students.

“Alhamdulillah, thanks to the prayers and support of my family and community, this Islamic boarding school, which I started from the ground up, has grown to what it is today. With the increase in students, the spread of Islam and worship will be even stronger in our region,” said KH Dachlan. (mhn/ril)
