Medan, The Indonesia Post – The Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, positively welcomed the offer of non-cash banking transactions, especially for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the Medan City Government.
“We hope that the Medan City Government has some kind of card that can be used for transactions. All transactions are non-cash, including paying taxes and user fees,” Bobby said in Medan.
The mayor asked the banking sector to communicate directly with various relevant agencies in the Medan City Government so that the non-cash card is better known.
“When it comes to collecting market levies, we ask the bank to meet directly with Perumda Pasar to discuss this further,” explained Bobby.
Deputy Regional Leader of BNI Sumut, M Evan Zulkarnaen, during an audience with the Mayor of Medan said that his party made it easy for non-cash transactions.
“We are ready to support all efforts to increase PAD (regional original income). Taxes and levies for the city government are easy to pay and control,” said Evan.
His party can also prepare a kind of combo card for ASN in the Medan City Government to carry out various transactions.
The head of the Medan City Transportation Service, Iswar Lubis, admitted that the initial stages of using BNI’s non-cash cards could be applied to the agencies he leads.
“This card does not only function as an ‘ID Card’, but an ATM card, ‘e-money’ and can be used for various transactions,” he said. (rmt/bbs)
