Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Celebrating the 76th Anniversary of the South Sumatra Province, the South Sumatra Provincial Government held a healthy walk and gymnastics together in the courtyard of the South Sumatra Governor’s office, Thursday (18/5) morning.
In addition to releasing thousands of participants for a healthy walk, the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru also added a special prize in the form of 3 free Umrah for lucky participants.
According to Mr. Infrastructure, this activity aims to mix all ranks of the South Sumatra Provincial Government and vertical agencies, the Indonesian National Police and the students as a form of gratitude because South Sumatra can still survive the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit the last two years.
He also appreciated the various indicators of economic growth which he said were so trending. According to Herman Deru, this extraordinary spirit should be maintained.
The healthy walk takes the Governor’s Office route – Jl Kapt F. Tendean – Jln Anwar Sastro – Jln Jend. Sudirman – Simpang Hotel Mauve (Imara) – Jln Papera – Jln Dwikora – Jln Ade Irma Nasution – and Finish.
After a leisurely walk, the activity was enlivened with various competitions such as a push cart, tug of war and a trumpet competition.
A number of attractive prizes were provided by the committee. These include motorcycles, bicycles and refrigerators to a number of other electronic devices.
Present at the event were a number of OPD heads in the South Sumatra provincial government. (ojn/ril)
