Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The chairman of the Legislative Council (DPRD) of South Sumatra Province, RA Anita Noeringhati, attended a review of the training activity for the Hirain/C-rain Latma Garuda Shield (Super Garuda Shield 2022 Air Dimension) with the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), General Andika Perkasa, at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport, Palembang. Tuesday, 09/8/22.
During the exercise, the Indonesian National Army (TNI) carried out airport security with the United States (US) or US Navy troops.
Reporting from Twitter @Puspen_TNI, the TNI and US Navy conducted Afternoon Patrols at Palembang’s Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport to monitor and ensure regional security from the emergence of disturbances and threats. The TNI and US soldiers were seen carrying full weapons.
Meanwhile, as reported by tni-au.mil.id, KASAU Marshal of the TNI Fadjar Prasetyo seemed to accompany the TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa watching the HIRAN and C-Rain Super Garuda Shield 2022 exercises at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport.
The Himars Rapid Infiltration or Hiran and Caesar Rapid Infiltration or C-Rain exercise scenarios are simulated in the form of a military operation to provide fire support through 155 MM/GS Caesar belonging to the 9/11 Armed Battalion Kostrad and US Navy Himars Rockets transported by TNI C-130HS aircraft. Air Force from the 31st Air Squadron at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base and MC-130J from 353 Special Ops Wing USMC.
Furthermore, the Hiran/C-Rain exercise was guided by the JTAC and ARP Teams who had succeeded in controlling the airport to make landings and carry out fire support for the Caersar Cannon and Himars Rocket at predetermined targets.
The Hiran/C-Rain exercise demonstrated the interoperability and synergy between the elements of the two countries involved in the exercise, and the success of the exercise was achieved. (ojn/ril)
