“Alhamdulillah, the chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD was very responsive and immediately connected me with the PPPA Office, so the flowers are currently being placed at a halfway house,” he said.
Meanwhile, the chairperson of the DPRD of South Sumatra RA Anita Noeringhati asked law enforcement officials to pay special attention to this case.
“Why am I asking? First, because the victims were children. secondly, we have to protect these victims, 7-year-old children shouldn’t be treated like that from those closest to them,” she explained.
The Golkar party politician added that she had asked the women’s empowerment and child protection service (DPPPA) to be able to provide protection for victims, so they could live normally again.
“I have asked the Women’s and Children’s Empowerment Service to evacuate the victim to a safe house, in this case LBH Laskar Merah Putih will oversee the legal process, and I ask parties, both the police, especially the Banyuasin police and the Banyuasin district court, as well as up to the the upper level, to have special attention quickly, “she explained.
Anita continued, as a woman she felt sad and condemned this incident, considering that the victims were still children and the perpetrators were still people around them.
“Seven years old get treatment like that from the closest people. Well, here I am cursing all of this is a shared responsibility, until later after this legal process is over. What is the continuation of this child because this child is 8 years old and has not yet gone to school, this action was carried out, “she concluded. (ojn/ril)
