Deputy Governor of South Sumatra Releases Hundreds of Musi Runners 5K Participants in Palembang

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra. The Deputy Governor of South Sumatra (Sumsel), H. Cik Ujang, this morning officially released hundreds of participants in the Musi 5K running race organized by the Musi Runners Palembang community. The release event took place lively in the yard of the South Sumatra Provincial DPRD Office, Sunday, (4/5/2025)

In his remarks, Deputy Governor Cik Ujang expressed his gratitude and joy for the implementation of this activity. He emphasized that the Musi 5K is not just an event to find a winner, but also an important forum to improve public health.

“On behalf of myself and the provincial government, we are happy to welcome this Musi 5K event. The main goal is not only to find the fastest, but also to promote public health,” said the Deputy Governor.

The South Sumatra Provincial Government also expressed its gratitude to all parties who were on duty and had contributed to the success of this event so that it could be held properly.

Furthermore, the Deputy Governor expressed his hope that activities like this would not only be a means of channeling talent in the field of running, but also strengthen the ties of friendship between participants. He also hopes that Musi 5K can be a place to find new seeds of running athletes in South Sumatra.
