Elen Setiadi: Spatial Planning Revision, Basis for RPJMD Preparation for the Next Government

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – South Sumatra Acting Governor Elen Setiadi Attended and Opened the 2024 South Sumatra Provincial Spatial Planning Forum Coordination Meeting, which raised the theme “Acceleration of the Revision of the Provincial RTRW and Regency/City RTRW and the Integration of RTRW Documents into the RPJPD and RPJMD Documents”. Santika Premiere Palembang, Wednesday (07/08/2024).

Elen Setiadi said that this coordination meeting was held to complete the revision of the Spatial Plan which must be carried out not only because of the development of development dynamics that greatly require changes in spatial planning but most importantly to prepare as a basis for preparing the RPJMD for the next government.

“South Sumatra has very great potential, but is still hampered by various regulations including spatial planning, so it is important for us to be present so that we can complete this spatial planning revision immediately so that we can invite investors, there is certainty to invest, there is also certainty that the spatial plan we build is a sustainable spatial plan,” he said

He added that one of the important elements is fixing spatial planning regulations including their implementation.

Meanwhile, the Head of the PU Bina Marga and Spatial Planning Agency of South Sumatra Province, Ir.M.Affandi., ST., M.Sc., IPU, said that the implementation of this activity was in the context of synchronizing and integrating regional spatial plans with regional development plans through the acceleration of the revision of the Provincial and Regency/City RTRW.

“The participants we invited were 126 people who were directly involved in the implementation of spatial planning consisting of Vertical Agencies, OPDs, Regency/City Governments,” he said

The activity was filled by resource persons from the Directorate of Synchronization of Regional Government Affairs 1, Directorate General of Regional Development Development, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Also present were the Acting Regent of Empat Lawang, Fauzan Khoiri and other Heads of OPDs. (ojn/ril)
