Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru (HD) was named the Father of Orphans (Yatim) at the 2023 Yatim Fest event held by the Indonesian Abulyatama Foundation at the Rambang Semesta Ballroom Palembang.
The embedding was carried out after HD symbolically handed over the compensation to the representatives of the orphans who were present.
To note, the activity initiated by the Abulyatama Indonesia Foundation was attended by 1,000 orphans, carried out with the aim of giving smiles and enthusiasm to the Orphans and encouraging and motivating the community, especially those who have the ability to share with them which can be carried out at any time, not only only during Ramadan.
Meanwhile, the Main Director of the Rambang Semesta Ballroom, Syafrin Ramadan Bayumi, as the host of the event, said that he was very grateful to be given the opportunity to be the venue for the gathering. (mhn/ril)
