Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra, Dr. H. Herman Deru, officially opened the Health Walk and Community Service event organized by the Alumni Association of the Islamic University of Indonesia (IKA UII) in collaboration with the Palembang City Government.
The event, which took place in the courtyard of the Palembang Mayor’s Official Residence in Kambang Iwak, on Saturday (August 30, 2025), was attended by thousands of participants from various backgrounds. The atmosphere was lively, with the enthusiastic attendance enlivening the event.
This event not only aimed to strengthen ties between alumni and the community but also served as a means to increase social awareness.
Through joint sports activities and social activities, IKA UII, together with the Palembang City Government, hopes to provide tangible benefits to residents. (rys/ril)
