HD Asks Commissions V and IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives to Encourage Acceleration of Priority Development in South Sumatra

Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru attended a gathering and working meeting of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission V Ir H Eddy Santana Putra MT, and members of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives Hj Renny Astuti S.Pn regarding the 2022 development plan.

HD said that the construction of Tanjung Carat Port was one of the developments that had a big impact on commodities in South Sumatra, both mineral and coal as well as agriculture and plantations.

“So this needs the support of every party so that this development goes well, especially the concern to move the Port of Boom Baru to Tanjung Carat and its supporters,” he said.

For the LRT in Palembang City, HD encourages the Ministry of Transportation to build parking pockets in the LRT station area so that people’s interest in using LRT as an effective and efficient mode of transportation for the community.

HD also asked Commission V to encourage the rearrangement of the Musi River area so that apart from being a water transportation route, it can also become a tourist attraction. And it is necessary to encourage the village ministry to re-establish the Office Special Allocation Fund (DAK).

Meanwhile, Edi Santana Putra said that Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the beginning voiced to the central government about infrastructure development in South Sumatra. One of them is the development priority of Tanjung Carat Port. And will again voice the construction of the Tanjung Api-api toll road to accelerate access to the Tanjung Carat port location.

In addition, his party also conveyed several aspirations for the South Sumatra Provincial Government to build a power plan by cooperating with the private sector. Then ask the provincial government for help to move the rubber factory which has been considered quite disturbing, especially the impact on the environment.

Commission V too. still reviewing changes to the concept of the Road Law so that the APBN will be used for road construction regardless of the road status. (ojn/ril)
