Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Shortly after the Friday prayer safari, the Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru took the time to see the activities of the community around the Jamik At Taubah Tuan Kentang mosque. According to his goal, he went on a Friday safari around various mosques so that he could stay in touch and hear directly what aspirations the community needed.
The surrounding community has various businesses, including breakfast stalls, vegetable trading, cellphone counters to the business of making egg boxes. HD admitted that he was proud of the various efforts made by the community.
It is known that so far, Governor Herman Deru continues to give special support and attention to the sustainability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
“Small businesses carried out by the community, such as making egg boxes, certainly have a positive impact by creating new jobs for the local community. Moreover, these businesses do not require such a large capital,” HD said.
The owner of an egg box business, Sazili said that this business is indeed quite promising. Where to produce 40 boxes of eggs, Sazili only spent Rp. 50 thousand for the purchase of wood and nails.
Sazili said that he plans to expand his business so that it can become a new job opportunity for other residents.
On this occasion, HD provided capital assistance to local MSME actors and for the development of the Jamik At Taubah Mosque. (ojn/ril)
