Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru is indeed known to be close and considerate to the community. After the house renovation program for the underprivileged which is currently running, this time HD ahead of Eid al-Adha 1442 H which is still in a state of the Covid-19 Pandemic, he had the opportunity to directly hand over sacrificial cows in several locations.
“We deliberately come to some of these places to hand over the sacrificial cows to the community. This is our step to share on Eid al-Adha,” said HD on the sidelines of handing over the sacrificial cows at the Palembang Grand Mosque.
“There are 100 cows collected. The sacrificial cows are the result of funds collected by ASN, BUMD employees and others. We distribute the cows in areas that we judge as entitled to receive them,” he explained.
According to him, Eid al-Adha 1442 H is indeed the right moment to share. Moreover, this Eid al-Adha, people also still have to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, which is not over yet.
It is known, the handover of sacrificial cows by Governor Herman Deru started from the Al Amin Mosque in the Palembang apartment area. At that place, Herman Deru handed over the sacrificial cow on behalf of himself and his family.
Not only that, as many as 800 families in the densely populated area were also given assistance in the form of rice. The assistance will be directly distributed by the South Sumatra Provincial Social Service.
Then, Herman Deru headed to the Muhajidin mosque in the 5 Ulu area of Palembang. A sacrificial cow was given in the area. Then, Herman Deru provided assistance for sacrificial animals in the area of Jalan KH H Balqi, 16 Ulu Village before finally providing donations for sacrificial cows at the Palembang Grand Mosque.
