Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H Herman Deru formed a task force monitoring the availability of cooking oil to overcome the scarcity of cooking oil in South Sumatra.
He stated this after attending a meeting monitoring the availability of cooking oil in South Sumatra Province. Met after the meeting, HD said that this meeting discussed how to fulfill bulk cooking oil, which needs only 134 tons per day.
“In any case, I ask that this can be fulfilled, because the total bulk oil production in South Sumatra is around 1,320 tons per day, we only ask for the allocation of local bulk needs,” said HD. Therefore, HD revealed that he and related parties had agreed that this matter could be allocated properly.
“To overcome the problem of scarcity, I formed a task force and it will be signed today, it includes the main tasks and tasks to be monitored. We involve all elements, namely the police, the TNI, the prosecutor’s office, and other elements such as the Polres and Koramil,” he said.
In addition, according to HD, his party will also determine the selling price, and it will certainly start from producers, distributors, agents to consumers who buy up to the market level, namely HET Rp. 14,000/L or Rp. 15,500/Kg.
“The main obstacle is between distributors and agents, it could be due to distance traveled, there could also be delays in delivery to manufacturers. I’ve already said that if you need to borrow army and police cars if it’s really needed,” he said.
HD said the decree to be made would be in effect for 3 months and was tasked with detecting the scarcity of cooking oil. If fraud is found, we will act according to applicable law.
The South Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Toni Harmanto MH, said that his party was also participating in monitoring the availability of cooking oil in markets throughout South Sumatra to ensure that there was no shortage of cooking oil.
This meeting was also attended by producers and distributors of cooking oil in South Sumatra. Also present were Pangdam II/Sriwijaya Maj. Gen. Agus Suhardi, Deputy Chairman of the South Sumatra DPRD, Kartika Sandra Desi, SH, and Heads of the South Sumatra Province OPD. (ojn/ril)
