Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Starting his working visit to Pagaralam, the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru opened a Shooting Championship in the context of the 21st Anniversary of Pagaralam City and the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara Mayor Cup 2022 at the Keban Agung Shooting Field, Pagaralam.
According to Herman Deru, shooting is a combination of concentration, strength, rhythm and feeling. Through this championship, he hopes that seeds of athletes will be born in districts/cities so that they can strengthen and increase South Sumatra’s achievements in national championships and other championships.
On behalf of the South Sumatra Provincial Government, Governor Herman Deru also welcomed the holding of this South Sumatra-wide shooting championship. He did not forget to welcome the participants who were willing to come from various regions to enliven the championship
Furthermore, Governor Herman Deru also hopes that this event can be held even bigger in the coming years. Moreover, recently Polda has also held the Kapolda Cup championship.
Seeing the large number of participants, according to Herman Deru, it means that the community, especially the participants, have returned to being enthusiastic after being stuck during the Covid 19 Pandemic.
The opening of this shooting championship was symbolically carried out by the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru, Chairman of the South Sumatra Province Family welfare (PKK TP) Hj Feby Deru, accompanied by Pagaralam Mayor Alpian Maskoni, Chairman of Pagaralam PKK TP Reni Alpian Maskoni, and his entourage.
The number of participants who took part in this championship reached hundreds of participants from 17 regencies/cities. The championship competed in 3 categories including Air Rifle and Air Pistol, Air Rifle and IPSC (firearms).
On that occasion the Governor of South Sumatra was greeted with a kuntau dance from the students in Pagaralam.
