Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Continuing his working visit at the weekend, the Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru (HD) visited Merah Mata Village, Kec. Banyuasin I, Banyuasin Regency.
Accompanied by the Regent of Banyuasin, H. Askolani Jasi, HD took the time to see firsthand the Galangal (Laos) village owned by the village. This was done by HD after closing the series of activities for the 77th Indonesian Independence Day 2022 in Merah Mata Village and at the same time witnessing the Inauguration of the Head of the RT of Merah Mata Village and the Inauguration of the BUMDES Merah Mata.
“I appreciate the Government of Banyuasin Regency which has succeeded in awakening the creativity of the village community, especially the Merah Mata Village which utilizes vacant land and turns it into a Laos garden,” said HD.
HD also added that the creativity possessed by the Red Mata Village must of course be supported by the regional and provincial governments by providing equipment or capital facilities for farmers to increase the number of existing Laos productivity and help with marketing.
“Therefore, I hope that the Department of Agriculture can send a team to review and analyze the needs that need assistance for Laos farmers in Merah Mata Village,” said HD.
HD also asked the Head of Merah Mata Village, Seftian to foster farmers to be consistent in maintaining the identity of the Laos Village by not changing agricultural commodities with other commodities.
And for capital, you can take advantage of the government’s program, namely the People’s Business Credit.
In addition, HD also said that the people of Merah Mata Village can preserve the existing nature by leaving water absorption areas when carrying out development.
Furthermore, HD congratulates on the inauguration of the Heads of RT Desa Merah Mata and hopes that the management of BUMDES Desa Merah Mata who has also just been appointed will have different creativity by creating business innovations that do not depend on others.
