Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru said please distribute corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for the welfare of the community and have an impact on the community.
Governor Herman Deru conveyed this when he received an audition from the leadership of Telkom, PT Telkom Wilayah Telekomunikasi (Witel) South Sumatra and their ranks for the gathering.
“Please prioritize the people of South Sumatra. Please channel it to the community appropriately in order to help the underprivileged people in South Sumatra, “said Governor Herman Deru (HD).
HD said, as a state-owned company, of course, it has quite large CSR funds. If channeled properly, it will certainly have a welfare effect on the community.
HD also encourages Telkom to give directions to its subsidiaries, such as Telkomsel, to help provide assistance to the people of South Sumatra, especially during the current Covid-19 epidemic.
“It could be that the assistance provided is in the form of internet quota for students in South Sumatra. So that the online student learning process can run well and reduce the burden on parents of students, “he said.
HD clearly, Telkom is one of the business sectors that is not affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, getting bigger profits when compared to before the arrival of the Covid-19 virus outbreak in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of Telkom for the South Sumatra Telecommunication Region, Mustakim Wahyudi said that he already has fostered partners in South Sumatra. These partners are part of the company’s CSR distribution.
