Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Closing his working visit to OKU Timor Regency, the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru took the time to attend the regular quarterly recitation of the PAC Muslimat NU as well as in commemoration of the Isra’ Miraj of the Prophet Muhammad SAW 1445 Hijriah.
Apart from gathering with the community, HD also made the meeting a place to listen to the aspirations of the local community.
“As Governor, I want to hear the aspirations of the people directly. Because sometimes there are things that are beyond my reach. It is only natural that the Regional Head helps and supports the progress of the Region down to the village level,” said HD.
Although it is classified as a new sub-district, Buay Madang Timur Sub-district is one of the sub-districts that has succeeded in running the government. This can be seen from the rapid development in several villages in the District.
“The most important thing in developing our region is harmony and good synergy between leaders and the community, and we also need to remember to prioritize development that has many benefits for the community,” he concluded.
Meanwhile the Head of Pengandonan Village, Buay Madang Timur District, Hj. Rohmah said that Herman Deru’s presence in the village was highly anticipated by the local community.
“We hope that the Governor and the Regent can support and help us here, sir, in advancing our village,” she stated.
