Palembang, The Indonesia Post – The Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru received a visit from the Governor of the Indonesian National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas RI) Andi Widjajanto in the context of friendship and hospitality.
On this occasion the Governor of South Sumatra explained, South Sumatra Province is a heterogeneous and conducive province, “With the various ethnic groups, races, religions and cultures they have, the people of South Sumatra are more concerned with togetherness than their own ego, it is proven that until now South Sumatra is known as a zero conflict area.
He also said, South Sumatra has the greatest potential in agriculture and plantations, as a contributor to the number five national rice supplier and the largest rice contributor on the island of Sumatra and in the plantation sector, one of which is rubber, where out of 5 million hectares of rubber in the world, South Sumatra contributes 1.3 million hectares. in the plantation sector, especially rubber.
“With the arrival of the Governor of Lemhannas RI, it becomes a special spirit for the South Sumatra Province to improve food security for the people of South Sumatra,” he said.
“We must have a spirit to survive and there must be a change in the mainset of the community, from a buying culture to a producing culture,” he concluded.
At the same time, the Governor of Lemhannas RI Andi Widjajanto said, one of the tasks of Lemhanas is to carry out research and measurement of national resilience throughout Indonesia, both food security, national, regional and international issues.
“I thank the Governor of South Sumatra H. Herman Deru for helping to provide new ideas that we can continue to become proposals at the national level,” he said.
