Palembang, The Indonesia Post – Starting a series of activities in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Governor H. Herman Deru (HD) conducted a review of the Supreme Energy Thermal Power Plant (PLTP) which is located at Rantau Dedap, Segamit Village, Semende Darat Ulu District, Muara Enim Regency.
Arriving at the location, the Governor of South Sumatra and his entourage immediately toured the Supreme Energi PLTP which can produce an electrical power supply of up to 91 Megawatts.
On that occasion, HD said that this is evidence that adds to the belief that South Sumatra is indeed rich in energy and natural resources, such as geothermal energy which is used for electricity.
HD also appreciates Supreme Energi’s PLTP which utilizes human resources from national and local sources, “and this can be imitated by all investors in South Sumatra, so that they can innovate to switch technology and transfer knowledge”, HD said.
In addition, HD also said that the Supreme Energy PLTP is a form of embodiment of renewable energy that utilizes geothermal energy.
“This is also a renewable energy that does not damage nature and will be inaugurated by the President on September 14, 2022,” said HD.
Meanwhile, CEO of PLTP Supreme Energi, Nisriyanto reported that his PLTP does not damage the natural environment of the surrounding community and they live as usual and are not disturbed by the exploitation activities carried out by the company.
He also said that since 2013 the Supreme Energi PLTP has conducted natural exploration to find existing geothermal spots, “on December 26, 202, we have been operating operationally with an electricity supply capacity of 91 megawatts”, he concluded. (mhn/ril)
